I start my next class tonight. Creative Leadership. Not quite sure what this class is about, yet. I do know we have to keep a journal, but I've not the specifications for it yet.
I'm not overly fond of the text. It is a compilation of journal entries of a professor at my school. While I do understand that Americans as a whole tend to be insular and do need to gain an understanding of other cultures, this text reads like a recent immigrants rant that because something may be done differently elsewhere, it is automatically wrong here. And I just don't feel that way. There are many different ways to approach a problem and I refuse to believe that every problem has just one single right answer. Layered on top of this though is a more personal, "my views are right and everyone is wrong." Despite the quite arrogant writing at points that have turned me off the text, there are several insightful entries that I agree completely with. I wrote a lot of thoughts down and several sketches while reading the stuff for tonight's class that will end up in the class journal once I figure out the journal specifications.
The skies opened up while I was driving home killing traffic with all the flash floods and wind. There must have been a lot of wind, I found several inches of hail in various areas where hail should have a hard time falling. (Underneath the porch, in the garage?) I'm hoping the traffic drains off a bit so I can get to school on time.
Roof is still leaking, but I'm getting the paperwork in place for the loan to get my place re-roofed.
