I've finished the first of my KnitPicks Parade socks. I used the entire skein minus 5 inches to make the sock. I discovered that it is possible to Kitchener a toe with 4 to 5 inches of yarn - you just have only an inch left over at the end. (The other four inches were the tail from my cast on.) The sock fits perfectly now. Apparently I am getting pretty good at estimating how much yarn a row would take, as my estimate of a row and a half left of yarn left was right on. I put the two rows where I thought they would fit and it worked out.
