I've been on a crochet kick recently. I finished crocheting a dishcloth I started a long time ago.
Vivi dishcloth I've always known that my initial chain tends to be tight, but as I tend to do granny squares and coasters, it wasn't nearly as evident as in this photo. The bottom is the starting chain. I didn't add any stitches in the following rows. I based this pattern loosely on this one. |
I also discovered this pattern, by Priscilla Hewitt. I had fun making this coaster in a bunch of different yarns and weights. Kind of a fancy gauge/capability swatch of sorts.
The small green/purple one is one made of a yarn I bought from Christy. I don't know much about the yarn except that it is mostly likely wool. Boo keeps digging this coaster out of the stack and walking about the house with it. She can't get to the ball, thank goodness. (She exhibits the same behavior with yarn I know is wool or is a wool-blend. |
The Orange Slice Coaster is from this book.
Well, enough procrastinating. Maybe I ought to do a load of dishes before I decide to head to bed.
