I missed the Yarn Crawl with KWA last week. I hope I get a chance to meet up with them this weekend since I haven't seen them in a few weeks, but things are already hectic.

Project Management started on Wednesday. It's an online class and the first four modules, plus a couple of discussion board questions are due by 4pm on Saturday. So I have that to do. I also have to clean my house.

My house, the kitchen especially, are kind of left to drift along and basically pile up messes in when I get overwhelmed by school. This year, I'm hosting Thanksgiving. My dad was originally supposed to work, so my mother didn't want to do a big Thanksgiving. So I volunteered. Have I mentioned I've only ever roasted a chicken (and just once), never a Turkey. And my coordination abilities as far as getting everything down at the same time are non-existent. (I have problems getting eggs and toast done together.) We are doing a potluck though to make it easier on me.

I've invited my parents, my brother (his daughter is with her mother though), Sa and her boys, and Sh (Sa's sister). So there will be eight of us total. Which is larger than normal for any holiday gathering for my family. Once we went to my aunt's house for Christmas eve and that was 9 people. My aunt made her kids cook the meal while she sat on her butt and smoked. And made me sit in the kitchen alone because I don't do well with smoke.

My brother's bringing cranberry sauce, my mom is bringing cornbread stuffing, rolls and pumpkin bars, Sa and the boys are bringing pecan pie and jello and Sh is bringing Stovetop stuffing. That leaves me to provide the turkey, gravy, potatoes, peas/onions, and corn. I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is in less than a week and Christmas is in less than six! This year has flown.

If I can cook a turkey, anyone can! It's actually pretty easy!

Hope you can make it back to knit group soon.
