Doing okay

Surgery recovery is going well. A minor setback a couple days ago when in the heat of the moment I forgot my lifting restrictions and picked up Summ and tossed her outside (she decided to pee next to the door, bad girl!). So things were painful for a day, but am doing better today. Don't have too much to say, it's been a quiet few days. I've been doing 15 minutes of light housework separated by half-day breaks. Won't be able to get away with that after I return to work. Been taking more pictures of the pups. Feel very guilty that I can't really walk them. Today would have been perfect, but Winter's extremely strong on a leash and I need all my strength if he finds something he shouldn't.

The dogs have been doing really well and for the most part, decently behaved. Summ seems like she's on the verge of coming back into the season, and has been having her witchy moments with a capital "B". Winter scraped open his nose the morning A brought him back home. No one knows what he did, but he bled most of that day off and on. It's getting better, though.

Not her usual state. Found it very funny that she was in the shade - it wasn't that warm, only 41 degrees.

Summ is awake and actively working on the bone. She just closes her eyes when she's working at the marrow. It's pretty cute.

Summer looks kind of like she just fell over next to the cardboard box she was destroying.

Our roommate's dog has a scrape just like that on the top of her nose. It's because she's constantly pushing her luck with the cat, who then pops her on the top of the nose with his claws. Same exact spot on the top of her nose, every single time. I'd feel bad for her if I didn't watch her ignore 20 minutes of warning before the swat. :-)

We think he did it trying to open a crate door. He does mess with one of the cats, but her scratches are that big... The pink lines are at least 1/8" wide.

Eeek, yeah, that would be quite the mutant claw, lol.

Winter's a 55# dog. Not small by any means. :) And Boo (the one who swats the heck out of him is only a 9 pound cat and fairly dainty.)

So your cyst was almost as big as the cat. Kewl.

Poor puppa! Hope his nose heals soon. And I hope you heal quickly!

Try not to feel guilty about not walking them, they'll survive and it's important that you heal well now.
